Mission

Our mission at Camp Courage is to introduce young women and gender-diverse youth aged 15-19 to the emergency services while nurturing their confidence, leadership skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Goals and Objectives:

The primary goal of our camp is to provide young women with insight into careers as first responders. We strive to offer comprehensive information, inspiration, education, and hands-on experiences that accurately depict the physical demands of these roles. Ultimately, we aim for participants to leave with a profound sense of empowerment and the confidence to pursue any career or dream they desire.

Core Values: At Camp Courage, our core values guide everything we do:

  1. Respect: We believe in treating ourselves and others with the same respect we expect to receive.
  2. Responsibility: We take full accountability for our actions, understanding that while we can’t control all circumstances, we can control our reactions to them.
  3. Honesty: We recognize honesty as the cornerstone of genuine and lasting relationships.
  4. Empathy/Compassion: We strive to understand, empathize with, and support others in their experiences and emotions.
  5. Commitment to Constant Improvement: We are dedicated to continuous growth, always striving to exceed expectations and achieve our best.
  6. Positive Attitude: We understand that our attitudes shape our outcomes, and we choose to maintain a positive outlook in all situations.
  7. Hard Work: We embrace the value of hard work, knowing that it leads to personal fulfillment, character development, and success.
  8. Courage: We exhibit courage by making principled decisions, believing in our abilities, and daring to pursue our biggest dreams.

Through these values, we cultivate an environment where young women can discover their potential, develop essential skills, and embrace opportunities for personal and professional growth.
